What to expect when ur baby is not well?

Ilyaas is having cough and flu. The symptoms start since Tuesday night when I first heard him having difficulties to breath during sleep. As I checked, he had running nose. But when morning comes, looks like the running nose had ended. Since I spent whole Wednesday with him, I realize that he doesn't want to be lay down on his mattress and sleep very less during the day. A bit meragam here and there too! He only has his beauty sleep after Asar sampai ke lepas Maghrib. Pity son, then flu datang balik during the night and continue sampai ke pagi.

I have to go to work on Thursday while husband stay at home with Ilyaas since babysitter was on emergency (had to rush back to her kampung to visit he dad in ICU). Ilyaas was cranky for the whole day and demand full attention from his Ayah. After dinner, we decided to take him to see Paed. We choose Dr.Wong Ming Chee. and her clinic was not too far from home.First impression of the clinic, is clean and look welcome-able. After about 15minutes waiting, its our turn to see the doctor. And yes, Ilyaas had running nose and cough.Doc gave me the medicine and also alat untuk sedut hingus. On Friday, we sent Ilyaas ke rumah Makcik Sarah. From Makcik Sarah, I got to know that Ilyaas had severe fever during the afternoon and still cranky and monyok the whole day. Not even senyum terkapai-kapai when he sees me picking him up from Makcik Sarah's place.

Last night really menguji my kesabaran sebagai seorang ibu. Ilyaas can't sleep well through out the night, same goes to me (of course la, mana sampai hati dengar anak tidur di katil sebelah sambil bunyi sok-sek sok-sek menahan hingus yang sudah kering serta terbatuk-batuk sampai nak termuntah). I can't stand seeing him like that. Memang every hour bangun and bf him, he drink only a little since he is not comfy with his running nose and cough. Already sedut the hingus, put vicks on his chest and nose and on his back. Still things not getting better. At 4.15am, terpaksa kejutkan hubby since i can't stand seeing Ilyaas like that. He batuk-batuk tanpa henti and like forcing himself to buang the kahak from his chest. Tiba-tiba he vomitted all the susu + with lendir2 kahak. Kesian anak Umi=( sedih sgt2. I was telling my husband to bring him to ER at Tawakal Hospital since I am really2 worried. Tapi lepas Ilyaas muntah keluar kahak tu, he feels better and sleep sampai 8.30 pagi.

In the morning, both husband and me decided to bring Ilyaas to see his Paed again. This time, no matter how, I will ask the doctor to sedut kahak Ilyaas. Selamat jalan semua smooth and steady je and no road blocks at all even today ada perhimpunan BERSIH 2.0 sekitar KL. In the doctor's room, Dr Wong cakap she cannot sedut kahak Ilyaas since the kahak are stuck in his chest. unless kahak sudah ada sekitar tekak, baru boleh sedut. She can only give gas from the nebulizer to pecah/cairkan kahak Ilyaas. Seperti gambar di atas. Alhamdulillah Ilyaas behave so well, tak mengamuk walaupun sekejap during the treatment. He was excited sebab ingat gas tu makanan yg sedap seperti ada flavour orange or strawberry kot?

Lepas sedut the gas, Ilyaas looks better and he wants milk since all his morning breakfast was out lepas vomit before we went to the clinic. So, I bf but when he batuk2 again in the car, bit of the milk came out together with the kahak yang sudah cair. So,the gas is working! but then, after vomit in the car, he still want more milk. kesian anak umi sangat dahaga sbb terlalu banyak batuk.And he sleep peacefully sampai 2.30pm. sempatla I attend the house chores seperti membasuh ayam , daging, kemas peti sejuk,serta menyusun stock2 EBM supaya EBM bulan May boleh berada di bahagian atas dan mudah di ambil nnt dan masukkan EBM bulan June ke bahagian bawah. Bagi Ilyaas makan his ubat and he vomit sedikit. But he manage to telan all those ubat...After menangis tidak henti-henti sebab marah kan Umi paksa makan ubat, Ilyaas sempat poo-poo ye. Sgt multitasking anak umi ni. After bersihkan badan semua, Ilyaas looks better.Siap tersengih-sengih bermain dgn patung lion, elephant dan hypo yg digantung pada cot. and sempat ketawa terkekek-kekek bila Umi and Ayah sembang2. Alhamdulillah ada improvement but batuk n hingus masih ada. Sekarang Ilyaas tgh tidur di sebelah ayah yg sedang menonton X-men. Kesian lepas ada baby ni, hubby tak pernah berkesempatan nak tgk movie di cinema. Tak apelah abang, pengorbanan seorang ayah.

Okla,saya mahu solat Asar dan masak untuk makan malam. Will cook nasi tomato serta ayam masak merah dan kurma daging for dinner.

Haven, Look Up Point, Ampang

Hi All. See that little fella in this picture. He is super excited last night during his Ayah and Umi so-called candle light dinner at Haven Restaurant.

We have planned this for quite sometime. It's supposed to be the place where we have our first anniversary dinner. But due to kesibukan tugas + menguruskan rumah tangga, we had to postponed to some other time. Sampai yesterday, Makcik Sarah pengasuh Ilyaas bagitahu yang she has to go for medical check-up today, so I have to take leave.Since it's my off day the next day, and there is not much thing in the freezer I can cook for dinner, I suggested to hubby that we go to Haven Restaurant Look Up Point, Ampang. He agreed! even though he still has to go to work on the next day.We depart from home around 8pm and arrived there at 8.45pm, (include the sesat-sesat around Ampang + traffic yang belum settle since afterwork). First impression was " Wah Ramainya orang.Ingatkan hari kerja tak ramai orang"...There are few restaurants there. At the bottom part of the LOP, ada restoran ikan bakar muara but we can't see the view from there. So we decided to climb the hill (by car) to the upper part of LOP. At upper part of LOP, got another four restaurants including Haven itself, Panorama, Gasoline Cafe and LOP Western Food. Panoramo must be nice since we can view KL from viewing tower. But since we have Ilyaas tagged along, we decided to stay with Haven.

See, that's my blessed happy family. That mini Halim-Me is the bestest anniversary gift

Alhamdulillah we get table nearby the viewing balcony. So, the view was spectacular.

Service at Haven is fast and the waiter/waitress are nice. The food and drinks are marvelous and delicious. Weather is on our side and no nyamuk at all even we are in the middle of Hutan Simpan ( if I'm not mistaken). I had fish and chips. (rasa mengidam nak makan fish and chip frio)

Anak Susuan

Salam semua

Last weekend, my FiL datang bercuti2 serta bershopping2 di KL. Dorg je yg shopping kain2 baju raya since I already tempah mine using kain2 yg dapat masa hantaran kawin dulu + kain hadiah time kawin dari kaum kerabat..since mengandung sebulan after kawin, so tak sempat nak tempah..sekarang la baru sempat nak tempah, and of course dgn ukuran badan yg baru setelah perngembangan selepas bersalin.

Ok, back to the title, sekarang sy dah ada anak susuan ye! =) Nama baby itu ialah Muhammad Amzar Muhd.Syahril. bukan orang lain pun, he is my nephew from my husband side. Amzar is 10months now. And he was and still fully breastfeed since birth. Cuma sekarang the mother decide to start formula milk (atas sebab2 yang tertentu yang tidak dapat dielakkan) serta suggestion pihak nursery yang menjaga Amzar. but, Amzar still refuses to drink formula milk sehingga menyebabkan badan Amzar makin kurus. Kesian jugak tengok. susah rupanya nak bercerai susu badan ni.tak tahu la mcm mana nnt bila dah sampai masa untuk Ilyaas bercerai susu badan saya...(thinking mode)

Masa hari sabtu lepas, since golongan ibu2 serta wanita2 bujang dari HD bershopping di Jakel dan saya tidak mahu ikut sebab saya dah tempah baju raya serta nak spend masa bersama anak teruna tercinta Ilyaas Hafiy, maka saya pun duduk la di rumah KU bersama-sama kaum bapa. dalam tgh hari mcm tu, Amzar mengamuk kelaparan n daddy dia bancuh susu formula untuk dia.tp sungguh2 dia refuse tak nak susu tu..at the same time sister Amzar pulak nangis mengantuk...so, since Ilyaas dah kekenyangan dan dah tidur lena, I took Amzar and cuba nak bagi dia minum susu formula tu.sungguh2 lagi dia menolak botol susu itu.dan terus2 menangis sampai la dah restless then i offer the milk again, still tak nak.when i offer Miss B terus dia minum sambil mata pejam...finally Amzar dapt tidur nyenyak after dah kenyang. tp tu belum lagi jadi anak susuan sebab baru sekali kenyang.kan syarat2 menjadi anak susuan adalah

"anak tersebut menyusu sekurang-kurang lima kali kenyang dan umurnya tidak melebihi dua tahun. Susu ibu boleh diberikan kepada anak secara terus atau dipam dan disimpan, kemudian berikan kepada anak tersebut"

So, before Amzar balik semula ke JB, my sis -in-law and me pun decided untuk menjadikan Amzar anak susuan saya..Maka, lebih kurang 72-84oz EBM milik Ilyaas Hafiy telah dihadiahkan kepada Muhammad Amzar. Mudah-mudahan dengan ada bekalan susu ibu tu, Amzar dapt slow-slow bertukar kepada susu formula dan bercerai susu badan tanpa mengejut.dan dengan itu, jadilah Amzar anak susuan saya + suami (selain anak sedara) serta adik-beradik susuan Ilyaas Hafiy. Dan dgn itu juga, tidak batal lah air sembahyang saya apabila bersentuh kulit dgn Amzar + tak perlu menutup aurat seperti rambut apabila berada sebumbung dgn Amzar (once Amzar dah akil baligh nnt la).

Lagi satu tujuan bagi EBM ke Amzar sbb freezer peti ais dekat rumah sudah terlalu penuh dah sarat dgn EBM Ilyaas.sampai kan tak ada langsung ruang untuk buat ais ketul atau pun isi ayam separuh ekor pun tak muat. Nak beli deep freezer, tp belum ada kemampuan di situ. masih mensurvey2 harga. Kalau ada sesiapa tahu/mahu jual 2nd hand deep freezer, pls let me know yer. Amat berminat sekiranya condition freezer masih elok.

Klinik Kesihatan, One Baby World, Medela Service Center

Its Wednesday already. and supposedly the famous post for Wednesday is "Wordless Wednesday"...But I'm going to write a karangan here sebab rasa puas hati banyak perkara dapat diselesaikan hari ni.

Hubster and me took half day (on the afternoon) today to bring our little hero to Klinik Kesihatan Bandar Baru Sentul for his 3rd months injection. We went to Kompleks BBSentul at 1.40pm, had our lunch there and straight away go to the clinic which is at Level 2, Kompleks BBSentul.Get the number from nurse at the counter and Ilyaas is the first patient for evening session.Lucky us. So, after taking his weight and height, they did the check-up on his activeness,hearing, viewing and also one-to-one session with the mother (me!). I do ask few questions regarding his behaviour at 3months and bout breastfeeding.then Ilyaas got his injection and we are off for the day! again I am very pleased with the service in KKesihatan BBSentul. It's even faster than my first visit. By 2.45pm, we are heading to One Baby World in Taman Permata, Gombak.

Senang hati lalu MRR2 sebab semua orang pergi kerja =) First niat to go to OneBabyWorld sebab nak beli bottles drying rack. But seperti biasala, setelah gaji baru masuk, me becoming the Umi can't resist all the cute things in the shop. Ok, let me tell u, I bought two toys for Ilyaas.Two Romper by BabyGap (ciplak punya la), socks, boy's legging. well, this OneBabyWorld is really a One Stop Center to buy baby's stuff.

Lucky Ilyaass like the toys!but he was distracted with Umi's camera:P

the toys can be attach to carseat, stroller,cot. also bought the soft book toys for him. will read it tonight! n Ilyaas also got his singing book yg dipesan from Pok Keng from UK.

The drying rack. It will be routine both for hubster and me to dry the bottles after sterelizing using clean cloth. now, we can save time handling the bottles and spend more with Ilyaas.let the bottles dry on the rack.selamat dpt RM10 off for this product.

After that we head to Dataran Palma in Ampang.Just next to Hotel De Palma.The next mission is

serbu Medela Service Center. Last two weeks dah pergi on saturday but they closed (it was suppose to open on saturday too from 10am-2.00pm but the staff was on leave when I went there)..My Miss PISA is not sick,she just had hick up. One of the tube dah longgar and ada kebocoran sedikit. As suggested by the staff on duty dkt Medela Service Center tu, she just cut out the part yg ada leakage tu and connect balik the small part at the end of tube. Part from that, I also got free advises on how to clean and take care of Miss PISA. As I bought Miss PISA from US, so the adapter is a bit different from the one sell in Malaysia. US use 9v while Malaysia use 12V.Thus, my adapter was not compatible with our local plug. Medela Service Center can't do anything bout this problem. Sobs2..a bit frustrated.Then we decided to give it a try to go and ask uncle dekat kedai elektrik BBSentul.Alhamdulillah we found one adapter with regulator where it can regulate the amount of voltage use. Big praises for this as I was using normal battery all this 3 months long to express the EBM. Now, semakin bersemangat utk breastfeed.Moga dipermudahkanNYA.Amin..
