Since today is Wednesday, I am supposedly to do less writing and more pictures.
So here I present some pictures captured along the coastal of Kuala Terengganu down to Kuala Kemasek in Terengganu State.
These pictures were from my handphone (handphone cikai saja) and were captured during my fieldwork in this area. Enjoy.
Weathered metasedimentary rock at Kuala Abang, Rantau Abang, Terengganu.
Black Metasedimentary rock probably from Shale/Mudstone origin at a village near Kuala Kemasek Beach
Muara of Kemasek River.
The point where sea water meets fresh water
Sea stack metasedimentary rock, eroded due to wave activities. Highly fractured and very brittle rock.
To access this outcrop, we need to drive through the fisherman's village and walk from the village to the beach.
Another angle from quite homegeneous metasedimentary rock from Pantai Kemasek, overlooking the South China Sea and the earlier outcrop in previous picture.
Highly folded metasedimentary rock of Pantai Pandak, Chendering
Pantai Pandak, Chendering.
Where I found the devastating dead turtle.
Pantai Batu Burok, Kuala Terengganu near sunset time with mini me
My husband at one of the outrcrop of highly fractured metamophosed shale/mudstone near a fisherman village in Kemasek
